Catch of the Day

Based on the true childhood spirit of my younger brother Anthony, Catch of the Day is a heartwarming story that proves fishing is about much more than what you find at the end of the line. With a fishing pole in hand and eyes full of wonder, Anthony sets out for the perfect catch.

His late grandfather taught him all he knows and he is determined to catch a fish on his own. His pesky older brother, David, doesn’t think it’s possible. Will today be the day?

As the day unfolds, he discovers that the true “catch” isn’t something you keep in a bucket- it’s the patience, the memories, and the quiet magic of the world around him.

In his free time, Anthony loved to fish. Whenever he had the chance, he would grab his rod and head to the water, excited to see what the day might bring. As Anthony grew older, his love for fishing only grew stronger. What started as a simple hobby became his favorite way to spend time, bringing him peace and joy. Soon, Anthony found himself out on his boat whenever he could, casting his line, watching the waves, and happily fishing under the open sky, always dreaming of his next big catch.
